Airborne forces are military units set up to be moved by aircraft and "dropped" into battle, typically by parachute. Thus, they can be placed behind enemy lines, and have the capability to deploy almost anywhere with little warning. The 82nd Airborne Division is an airborne infantry division of the United States Army, specializing in parachute assault operations. It was organized in August 1917 originally as the 82nd Division of the United States Army and served with distinction on the Western Front in the final months of World War I. Since its initial members came from all 48 states, the division acquired the nickname All-American, which is the basis for its famed "AA" shoulder patch. The division later served in World War II where, in August 1942, it was reconstituted as the first airborne division of the U.S. Army and fought in numerous campaigns during the war.—Wikipedia

The Dodge WC series was a prolific range of light 4WD and medium 6WD military utility trucks, produced by Dodge/Fargo during World War II. Dodge WC-series came in many purpose-built variants from the factory. The WC series evolved out of, and was part of a more extended family of trucks, with great mechanical parts commonality, that included open- and closed-cab cargo and weapons carriers, command cars, reconnaissance vehicles, telephone installation trucks, panel vans, carryalls, ambulances and mobile workshops. From 1940 to 1942, almost 82,400 1⁄2-ton 4x4 Dodge trucks were built. WWII Correspondent's Desk
Field desk of an American journalist or war correspondent during World War II. Best known amoung them was Ernie Pyle, notable for the columns he wrote as a roving, human-interest reporter from 1935 through 1941. He lent a distinctive, folksy style of human-interest stories to his wartime reports from the European theater (1942–44) and Pacific theater (1945). Pyle won the Pulitzer Prize in 1944 for his newspaper accounts of "dogface" infantry soldiers from a first-person perspective. He was killed by enemy fire during the Battle of Okinawa in April 1945.—Wikipedia

The Marine Raiders were elite units established by the United States Marine Corps during World War II to conduct special amphibious light infantry warfare, particularly in landing in rubber boats and operating behind the lines. The United States Army Signal Corps (USASC) is a division of the Department of the Army that creates and manages communications and information systems for the command and control of combined arms forces. It was established in 1860. In 1942 General George C. Marshall ordered the creation of the Army Pictorial Service (APS) to produce motion pictures for the training, indoctrination, and entertainment of the American forces and their Allies. M4 Sherman and Infantry Support
The M4 Sherman, officially Medium Tank, M4, was the most widely used medium tank by the United States and Western Allies in World War II. The M4 Sherman proved to be reliable, relatively cheap to produce, and available in great numbers. Thousands were distributed through the Lend-Lease program to the British Commonwealth and Soviet Union.
